Was over at the new Alamo Ranch shopping center today and saw the cutest little long legged birds just walking along around the side of the new Super Target. Anyone know what kind they are? They look like the belong at the beach.

That's got to be it. I also looked it up in one of my bird books. I don't live all that far from there and don't get them here. I wonder what attracts them to that area but not here.

Seriously, I am laughing while I am reading this. I live in Alamo Ranch and for some reason all of those birds migrate to my back yard. You will look out there at times and there are 50-100 birds out there! Crazy

You get that many Kildeer???!! I will trade you 5 doves for every Kildeer you can bring over!! If you can imagine the movie "The Birds" and just replace them with doves, thats my yard sometimes. Good thing I have the cages hubby built on my feeders. The doves are just eating what falls to the ground. I get a variety of birds here but not any of those. I just love the way they hop around.
