I am looking to move into Rochester and I was wondering which of the suburbs have a low crime rate? But also arent too expensive and having apartments rather then houses to rent.

probably Irondequoit, Brighton, Fairport, or Chili. I also think you may be surprised by the prices here - you can get a great apartment in one of the better parts of town for about $1000/mo. The cost of housing here is roughly 1/2 of what I've paid in other parts of the country.
Greece and Henrietta would probably have the most apartments. All of the suburbs are safe; and Greece has consistently ranked as one of the safest cities in America.
I used to use Rent.com, they used to give out nice gift cards at one point. I would also agree with Henrietta or Greece. I don't know how far you want to be from the city, but Brockport may have some options as well.
