Hi everyone, I was wondering what you guys think of living in Short Pump, and especially what the commute into the city is like in terms of time wasted in traffic. Thanks.

Short Pump is awesome. As in retail. Nearly everyone I know does their shopping there. I really want to move to West Broad Village!

15 min if you take 64, half hour or so if you take broad all the way, Richmond doesn't have traffic. A native may tell you so. But even rush hour is easy here. it's awesome.

Try to time your commutes before the sun is in the eyes of the drivers.

I think short pump would be an awful place to live myself, but everyone has different ideas. Traffic is as bad as it gets in the Richmond area, which is to say, still not bad compared to most places

"Nearly everyone I know does their shopping there" is the reason of which traffic wait times are long.

It's makes no sense that a place as small as Short Pump being as crowded as it is.

There is noticeably more people shopping than living there.

In few years short, Short Pump Towne Center will be the only shopping center available as talks about the closure of some surrounding malls are definite, which is going to add to the overcrowding.

I think Regency Square is sadly feeling impact. I heard Foot Locker, Williams Sonoma and even f.y.e are closing its doors at Regency Square. I feel bad. I love Regency...
