I'm looking for professional women's shoes. Something a little bit more creative than the typical black heel but still conservative. Think unusual texture?
I just purchased a new set of kicks over at DSW yesterday. It is located next to Dick's Sporting Goods next to Triangle Town Center Mall. Some pretty good deals there too. My wife sure seems to like shopping there.
Depends on what you're looking for, but my favorite shoe boutiques (read expensive) are Walk and Monkees at North Hills and Fleur and Main & Taylor at Cameron Village. Good luck.
Nordstrom has a great selection of shoes in a wide range of prices. They also have good deals a few times a year. I worked there a few years ago one summer and I don't think people realize it's not just the high end designers. There's a great selection of more affordable options in shoes, clothing, etc. (not sure about the mens selection, just familiar with womens) I also like DSW, it has quite a large selection.

Thanks in advance....
Try SRI off Old Wake Forest Road (not far from Capital) (web site here) DSW and Nordstroms does have an amazing shoe department (with even better sales, so ignore the quip about having to shop at Payless).

I also recommend DSW and SRI. To me, SRI is similar to DSW, but perhaps just a notch less quality and selection.
I have never really shopped at Nordstroms because I always thought it was out of my price range, but I will keep an eye out for sales there. Thanks for the tip.
