This is exactly why I am so angry!

The monsters in congress are not used to scorn, disrespect and hatred and I hope while they are home they get heaping doses of all three and republicans are every bit as bad as democrats.

Democrat/Republican ... I don't care. If they can't do the job we sent them to do, then fire the lot of them and get someone in there that will listen to us. ..
But what if what YOU want them to do is NOT what I want them to do? My vote counts too and anyone who votes against health care reform will NEVER get my vote....and I let them know through letters and phone calls. NOT through acting as though I am mentally deranged.

With the Congress approval rating at just 37%, I would say that the majority of the nation, so far, will have it's way .. still.

Over half of the nation isn't at all interested in such nonsense as this ... nonsense that serves to bankrupt all of us.

I don't know how to break this to you but Texas really ISN'T the entire country and a whole lot of people don't think the same way as y'all do. Here in Wisconsin I honestly have not talked with a single person...Democrat OR Republican....who doesn't want health care reform.

They want free health care, but they still don't believe they'll have to pay anything for it.

Not true. But we are paying a terrible price for not having health care and even those with insurance are paying way, way more for way, way less than they would with health care reform. We just don't let our selfishness and meaness get in the way of our brain...or our heart.

I only caught about 5 minutes of Rush today. He was talking about the Congressmen practicing for their town hall meetings. He said they should be practicing self defense!

Many people I talk to want TORT REFORM which would require a lot of REAL work by lawmakers to re-write the laws so that trial attorneys could be halted from their massive money grabs thru frivolous lawsuits. But the
lawmakers are soooooooooo very silent about this aspect of reform (Repubs and Dems, both). Think about how much money could be put to use if doctors and hospitals were'nt fighting lawyers all the time. Probably close to the amount congress wants to spend on government regulation of patients rather than attorneys.

Exactly HOW would that provide health care insurance for all those not able to have it now? Strikes me as passing strange that you have no problem with regulating lawyers....so that people damaged by careless doctors or greedy insurance companies would not be able to sue....but you sure don't want to regulate those greedy insurance companies that are passing death sentences on people every day.

Key word is "frivolous" lawsuits that clog the sytem. I am no friend of insurers either, but its not all their fault and both sides need regulating. I am with you on wanting a good attorney when the insurer is jacking someone around and I know personally of friends and relatives that got screwed. But good doctors seem to be caught in the middle and that needs to be fixed. Rather than demonize anyone, lets really fix this mess and the bill in congress is far from anything that will do that.
