Supreme Court says search warrants needed when police use GPS devices to track suspects - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/technology/supreme-court-says-search-warrants-needed-when-police-use-gps-devices-to-track-suspects/2012/01/23/gIQA7wL1KQ_story.html?wpisrc=al_comboPNE_p - broken link)

I'm glad to see that the SCOTUS has some prominent decisions lately that are unanimous. Although, I wasn't happy about the decision concerning the Texas voting districts, it was counterbalanced with the reality that it too was unanimous. They got this one right as well.

Good. The police need a valid reason for tracking and making them go before a judge and getting a warrant helps insure that.

Good decision. I can't believe a police Dept thought they could just plant a tracking device on a car without a warrant.
