Were Obama a Republican this gaffe (some would say 'Freudian slip) would be on TV all day every day, LibDems calling for his head on a plate.

How do you know he wasn't stumbling over saying "junior [something]"? It would make more sense. Jews are stereotyped as being rich. Not as janitors, not as earning what junior positions in the workplace do. He needed to say billionaires shouldn't pay the same rate as ordinary people. If you're implying he had a Freudian slip slur of Jewish people, why would he equate Jews with ordinary working stiffs? That's not the stereotype.

I agree. It sounds like he was going to say junior something to me, and corrected himself. He screws up plenty, but this one is a stretch.

The uproar over Obama starting a word with "junior" in it but switching mid-gear to "janitors" reminds me of the Woody Allen movie where his character took offense about someone pronouncing "did you" with a NY accented "d'jou?"

"You know, I was having lunch with some guys from NBC, so I said, 'Did you eat yet or what?' And Tom Christie said, 'No, JEW?' Not 'Did you?'...JEW eat? JEW? You get it? JEW eat?"

I think that he does a good enough job of smearing himself. No one needs to help him.

I wonder if that was on the teleprompter or not?

Default Obama needs his minions to clarify what he meant to say

Along with the label of Greatest Orator bestowed by media propagandists goes the penalty for making an error.

Most people associate the ability to communicate with the title of great orator. When a lawyer who's tool box includes measured sentences and calculated words makes an error he is held to a higher standard than most. When that speaker is a lawyer, a president and labeled a great orator any flubs are deservedly are exponential in their gravity.

The alternative is to admiit obama is a run of the mill political speaker, can't communicate to save his life and his words mean nothing when taken in context with his reversed positions and grossly inaccurate predictions on the economy.

Did Obama say "it's the Jews' fault"?

Watta you know...Obama comparing Jews to Janitor's made the LA Times.

"The president has been muffing lines all over the place recently. Last week, also peddling his jobs plan at a bridge that won't qualify, he hailed America's building of "the Intercontinental Railroad." You don't seem to hear much about these gaffes in the media for some reason."

For Obama supporters...it is the Transcontinental Railroad. Obama's fast rail will be called the Lunatic Express
