Actually your video shows they do understand the constitution just fine, that they need to REPEAL sections they dont like.
Furthermore, I love the fact that you are discussing the Constitution, and then have sections in the video which say the Constutitution has a seperation of church and state, IT DOES NOT!!
And then there are those who invoke the Founding Fathers, as in
"If the Founding Fathers were alive today, they would have written the Consitution differently."

If you disagree with the interpretation, take it up with Thomas Jefferson. He said it, not me.
The 1st Amendment only bars the creation of a national or "State sanctioned" religion. The first clauses bars the government from directly establishing a State sanctioned religion, and the second part of the clause bars any back-doors means of effecting the same thing. That is to say that the government could simply outlaw religions it disagrees with, and that religion which is not outlawed then becomes the de facto national State sanctioned religion.

But Jefferson did not write the 1st Amendment, so who cares what he says?
