Not looking for anti liberal or conservative comments please. Just trying to see how many liberal minded folks are on here. I'll start this out. I'm Hoodoovalley, and I AM a tree loving environmentalist liberal! Anyone else?

I believe in government action to help achieve equal opportunity and equality for all. I think the government should help to alleviate social ills and protect civil liberties and individual/human rights. The government should try to help those who are in need. Government can help to solve many social problems. Yet also, I believe in personal responsibility, a semi-limited form of government, free markets, individual liberty, many traditional American values and a strong national defense. I also believe the role of government should be to help provide people the freedom necessary to pursue their own goals. I believe in the empowerment of the individual to solve problems.

Call me a Libserve. Or a Conservaral. I think Conservaral has a better ring to it.

To a degree, but no ideology has all the answers. They all claim to, but only the crazy or stupid believe it.

If a socialist idea is a good one, I'll vote for it. If a capitalist idea is a good one, I'll vote for it.

Too many people - especially on a board like this - are so ideological that they have abandoned all reason and objectivity.

These are the people who are truly dangerous to our society: the ones with strong convictions. So strong that they ignore reality in favor of them.

If we let those kind of people get any kind of power, bad things happen.

Let's see how ideology-free you are.

If communist idea is a good one, will you vote for it?
If fascist idea is a good one, will you vote for it?

If not, where do you draw the line of your open-mindness?
