in both cases, for something large, we have no viable public transit, we dont have the parking needed, we dont have the hotel space needed and we dont have an airport nearby and 1 train of rail service, plus the site of the convention is in or near a war zone and the lessons learned from the assaults by antifa and blm at the LAST convention are well learned.

“There is no amount of money that’s worth the danger, violence and hate that will be patrolling our streets if the RNC comes to Pittsburgh,” said Democratic Allegheny County Council person at large Bethany Hallam

People like Bethany are the problem. She is filled with hate and anger and she was voted into represent our so-called "welcoming city". She is pure poison and needs to go. We need forward thinkers and people that live in the real world. Sad someone like her gets in there and spreads hate. Sick, but she is in there.

Very true. The protesters and burn it down folks would be out in full force.

Shame someone like Bethany can make her way into any position of power. People that can’t see past their emotion and hate can’t lead. I am sure by what she stated that she can’t see any side but her own. It is the ugly people like her that take us way back in time to intolerance. These hate filled types need to step down.

Gainey’s response was better, but not great. If someone like Murphy was in there we might have a chance to get that huge payday that could fix a few bridges. Ah, to live in logic around the likes of the Bethany’s of the world is tough. Please vote better than that hate filled person. Geez.

Couple of clowns. They, like many, let their personal feelings get in the way.

No worries on the bridges. Sleepy Joe gonna fix all of them.

Yeah sure. The GOP is now the party of anti democracy. Hard to support a party that ignores the constitution, while supporting conspiracy theories and far right ideals. Sickos that think storming the capitol were ok.

Pittsburgh misses out on a huge payday and folks are okay with it because feelings.

Don’t recall Republicans wanting to change the Constitution, mandate “show me your papers” vaccines, etc…

Because Trump told the rioters to go home, and few are defending their behavior. Funny how Dems are scurrying to change voting laws because they know they’re going to lose the House, though.
