I have a cheap Fuji 2 megapixel digital. I noticed a blur when using the flash. It turns out that there are scratches on the lens. I remember wiping fingerprints with my T shirt. Here are the questions.
Did I rub off a protective coating?
Is it possible for a camera shop to polish out the scratches?
If so, is it worth it, or is it time to replace the camera? I think I got it for free when I bought my computer. Thanks for the help.
I don't think wiping off the lens with a t-shirt should produce any permanent damage, especially scratches. Not sure if it's worth getting a 2MP camera professionally "cleaned". My 2 cents: you're better off upgrading to a new camera
It could be something on the inside as well. I've had dust on the inside of my camera...I had it cleaned once and now there's something in there again. It shows up in some pictures too. Yuck.
