Please read the appropriate DISCUSSION THREAD to be up to date before posting. You may post as many photographs in the discussion thread but the actual contest thread
is limited.
The theme in the "Theme" contest is determined by the winner of the last contest. It is also discussed in the current "Theme Contest" discussion thread. All photographs must have been taken within 30 days of the date you submitted them. The contest will end at the end of the month.
To be able to stay on a monthly schedule, the last day for submitting entry photographs will be five days before the end of the month, ie, if the month ends on the 30th then photos must be submitted no later than the 25th. If the month ends on the 31th then photos must be submitted no later than the 26th. Etc...
The poll will be opened the day after last day for submitting entry photographs.
One photograph per contest and one vote per member. You may not vote for yourself.
I love this old train depot in this small town. If you look in the distance you can actually see the end letters of "JIFFY" on the silo's. This small city of about 5000 is home to Jiffy Mix...a worldwide baking mix made in this small little town. The trains still go by many times daily, including the Amtrak to Chicago.
Front Street has been the main street of Georgetown SC since 1729. The town's economy has always centered around the natural harbor running along Front Street. Originally a trading post with local Indians, commerce changed over time to indigo, rice, lumber, and now focused on seafood, steel, recreational boaters and tourists.
