Dolce Salon/Spa right in front of Chandler Mall. Fantastic stylists, probably the best place in the east valley.

My wife sees Tiffanee Suazo O'brien. She used to work for Karsten and several boutiques in Scottsdale. She only works in Chandler because she is raising a family now but most of her clients are Scottsdale residents who drive down to Chandler to see her. She is by far better than anyone at Dolce. My wife only goes to Dolce when Tiffanee is on vacation or booked up.

She works in L'mage Studios on Ray and 101 (southwest corner) next to Lucky Lous. Her number is 480-620-7630.

Of course, I go to Supercuts.

But are the stylists Japanese? I am moving to the area soon and my current stylist (Japanese) instructed me to find one when I get there since my texture is very similar yet curly. She states the Japanese will know how to tame my hair the best.

If you want to go with your curls, you might try Curls Gone Wild, in Gilbert.

Wouldn't mind hearing more opinions about hair stylists in the east valley. Live east of Queen Creek but don't mind a bit of a drive since I get my hair cut around four times a year.

My experience with the chains is that it depends who is working that day; I'd rather go to one person, or to a salon where I can schedule with the same person.

Just looking for someone who cuts hair well and who can offer some styling suggestions now and then instead of someone who just stands there, shrugs, and couldn't care less. So many people seem to burn out in that line of work, or were never that interested in the first place.
