Impressive numbers. How do these compare nationally?

Impressive how some of these townships are quite large and still showing numbers like that, and not shocked that suburban PA runs the show.

I'm surprised Swarthmore isn't on there. Very small and it seems pretty wealthy.

It's only the top 25, so not surprised. If we had the top 50, I bet Swarthmore would be in there, and some in Philadelphia like Society Hill/Old City ZIP, and probably the Chestnut Hill ZIP.

I think Swarthmore is around $140k household so top 30/40. There are several communities that aren't far off the top 25, Garnet Valley for example.

Impressive, I expect Chester County to continue that trend. I know Montgomery is also in the top 50/100 or was a few years ago.

Interesting that this list uses average household income.

Most such rankings I see use median household income.

Which, I suspect, is lower than the average household income in every one of these communities, even Gladwyne, though I suspect the difference there is a good bit less than in any of the others.
