Horsham
Warrington
North Wales
Furlong
Lansdale
Collegeville
Schwenksville

I've been scouring these threads and love the feedback you all give. My fiance and I are looking at rental homes in the above towns and have not been able to tour places yet. We're not concerned about commutes (I drive all over for work) because Google maps says my fiance's office is 40 minutes from Collegeville, and that's supposedly the farthest town. Office is in Hilltown Township. BUT your two cents about commute is fine Any and all feedback about these towns is wonderful! Thanks!

Horsham, Warrington, and Furlong are driving suburbs - no train station, no real town center. North Wales is a small borough with a downtown a couple of blocks long and a train station, Lansdale has a bigger downtown and also has a train station, and is probably about 20 minutes from Hilltown (I'm assuming it's Hilltown in Bucks County). I don't really know much about Collegeville or Schwenksville.

But without knowing what you're looking for in a community it's hard to make any recommendations.

Thank you! I am only looking for general feedback--we don't have specifics we're looking for. A centralized downtown area is lovely, although not necessary. It will likely come down to which home is right for us as renters, but in the event that choosing which house is number one becomes tough, I'd like to keep any advice from here in mind.

Others?

It depends on what you're looking for. Do schools matter? If so, Warrington & Furlong would probably be best. Furlong, while beautiful, is probably the most expensive as it's very McMansion-y and not much diversity in housing. Horsham, Warrington & North Wales are good options for safety and different housing options. All three have, or are near, major shopping areas so you won't have to drive too far.

Otherwise, what are you specifically interested in? We'd be able to help much more if we know what to focus on.

Thank you. Schools will not matter for several years--we have no children with no plans to for a while. At this time, I'm just asking for general info. Any anecdotes from those who know any of these towns.

But for a little background, I am 26 and my fiance is 30. We enjoy quiet and safety. But we also need restaurants and bars in close proximity. Variety is key for those. Breweries and wineries are a plus. I'd love to be able to ride my bike not just in my neighborhood, so any parks or trails would be great. I also don't want to be in an area where everyone is the same age--a mix of young and old is nice.

Thanks!
