[quote=younglisa7;43806581]Oops....I have been so busy that I almost forgot to do these questions...so here goes
Today’s Questions:
So far how has 2016 been for you?
Pretty darn good thank you. Lucille and her husband just bought a house with a pool and it's not too far off of the bike trail. I anticipate a fun summer.
What projects if any do you have planned for this year?
We just hired the concrete guys yesterday. Today I will be water sealing the rest of the fence and tomorrow I'll be pressure washing the three back panels and the two front panels. I'm hoping the whole fence project will be finished before the concrete guys start.
What vacations if any do you have planned for this year?
I was supposed to go fishing with the boys over Memorial day weekend and Lucille and I were going to go up to Canada, but that's when they'll be closing on the house and moving. We'll see where the wind blows us this summer.
What is the last fun thing you did?
Went to the movies with Lucille last week and we were the only two people there. It was so hard not having pop corn.
What is the last hard thing you did?
Take out the fish pond and shovel load after load of dirt from where the new patio will be to the other end of the yard. We had to go over the deck on ramps. Then we hauled a bunch of stone for the dry stream. We did it all in three days.

Do you like dogs? Any favorite breeds?
I love all dogs Even this rat thing pudgy chihuahua that is our guest until a week from tomorrow that hoisted his leg on Joe Joe's bed this morning. He's so darn cute though. He won't eat unless it's people food. I even cooked scrambled eggs for him yesterday. I fed him chicken today on the spot he hoisted his leg. His bed is there now too. I see a crate in his future.

We watched Follow the Fleet on the DVR from Turner Classic Movies. It was fun.
Do you like Shakespeare?
I love Shakespeare plays outside on the lawn of the Peabody estate on a balmy summer night. It's some of the most beautiful poetry you'll ever hear if you can develop the ear for it.
What is the last book you liked reading?
It was called A Friend Like Henry and it was about a mother in Scotland with two autistic children. Our new friends have a 6 year old precious one that's autistic. I just fell in love with him and I want to help him any way I can. He won't eat and has to be tube fed every two hours.

Joke of the Day:
Bedtime Prayers
Two young boys were spending the night at their grandparents.
At bedtime, the two boys knelt beside their beds to say their prayers when the youngest one began praying at the top of his lungs. "I PRAY FOR A NEW BICYCLE... I PRAY FOR A NEW NINTENDO... I PRAY FOR A NEW VCR..."
His older brother leaned over and nudged the younger brother and said, "Why are you shouting your prayers? God isn't deaf."
To which the little brother replied, "No, but Gramma is”

RECIPE OF THE DAY:
Zucchini Bread...from Allrecipes
Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
2 1/4 cups white sugar
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups grated zucchini
1 cup chopped walnuts
Grease and flour two 8 x 4 inch pans. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
Sift flour, salt, baking powder, soda, and cinnamon together in a bowl.
Beat eggs, oil, vanilla, and sugar together in a large bowl. Add sifted ingredients to the creamed mixture, and beat well. Stir in zucchini and nuts until well combined. Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake for 40 to 60 minutes, or until tester inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on rack for 20 minutes. Remove bread from pan, and completely cool.
I substitute the vegetable oil for 3/4 cup apple sauce and 1/4 cup oil. I can reduce the amount of sugar needed to bout 3/4 of a cup. It's moist and still sweet.
Have a wonderful day!!!!!
Thanks Lisa you too dear one, and thanks for taking time out of your busy day to entertain us. I'm off to the yard to get that water sealing done. It's going to be a delicate process working around all of the plants that are growing like crazy now. If John does it there won't be any plants left.
