Grackles - for the last few days I've been watching about a hundred grackles at a time in my yard working on the acorns. It is interesting to watch (through my window) these birds swoop in and out of the yard and the oak trees, and watch them break open the acorns for the seeds. Yesterday my husband got hit in the head by some falling acorn shells. He laughed.
The other day on my way to town an eagle soared across the road reminding me to not take for granted the beauty I live amongst even though I see eagles (and so much more) quite often here.
