Now that they have capped the number of stories you can read on-line per month, have you quite reading the "news"paper? We had signed up for the digital edition, mainly for the local ads, but it went from $5 to almost $13 a month. We now get our local current news from the 3 TV on line sites.

The online edition is on par with most small cities and quite frankly wouldn't expect much otherwise. For local news I would recommend CFNews13's website which will get you what you need to know locally without the ridiculousness of paying for content or pop-up ads.

I have where it's synced to my Google reader, and somehow I get only the stories I want to read anyhow without the OS app on my android or paying for anything online.

That's how I was reading it, but they now have a limited usage per month of stories. Here is what I found, Orlando Sentinel Now Charging For Website Content - Details and Money-Saving, Helpful Tips
I hit 15 the second day......

Well i got my phone set up, but it says it doesnt charge for the phone app or storied read on the mobile device. Through my RSS feeds it wouldn't matter anyway but OS is not worth the money.

It is amusing to see OS charge for their online edition. I remember they had an editorial about the new HSR system with a list of people that should not have to pay for a ticket or receive reduced fares. I think it should be the same for OS. Or just do what I do, dump the cookies and read it online for free.

I believe that the stories on the front page are accessible for free. I only tend to look there and on the education news page. I haven't been dinged yet to sign up.
