I'd be checking out Eastern Market on a Sunday morning. I take all our visitors there and everyone loves it. Look in the Post or find a City Paper & see whats happening. Old Town Alexandria is ALWAYS fun too on a weekend. Lots of people & cute bars and shopping.

Eastern Market isn't quite what it was a few months ago since the fire. Have you been there since?

No but I did hear about the fire, I thought it would be back to normal by now. guess not... Guess I will have to go & check it out in the next few weeks, b/c I was planning on taking friends from LA there in July! What a shame.

Georgetown Flea was fun too - Washington DC Georgetown Flea Market: Antiques & Collectibles - Nation's Capital Sunday Tourist Antique Show. -- that's another place I like to go, interesting people & interesting stuff. , on occasion.

There are tons of things to do in NoVa...it really just depends on what you're want to "get-into" If you want to do things like, eating/drinking/dining/dancing/music try: Old Town Alexandria, Clarendon, Rosslyn, Georgetown, Ballston, Arlington etc...there are tons of little/large shops, and things to explore in those towns.

The Marine Corp Museum off RT 1 south of Woodbridge is an impressive and moving museum. Wolftrap is a great venue for concerts as it's outside. Nissan Pavillion in Manassas is there also but be prepared for mucho traffic after the big concerts.
