Hello, We are in NoVa now looking at homes, and of course with that I need to find a suitable preschool for my children. We will be living in the Potomac Falls area, so we would love one close to where we will be living. I am not looking for a commercial preschool, but a local, even church based would be great. Just a great preschool with loving, caring, teachers.
I have found online:
Classroom of Discovery

Village Green Day School

Kids Under Construction

Does anyone know anything about these? Or any other great preschools in the area?
Thank you!
Audrey

I have just gone through this process myself in the same area, we ended up going with Village Green and my daughter starts in the fall. However, others that parents rave about include A Childs Place Preschool, Classroom of Discovery, Trinity Methodist in Herndon, Mom's morning out program at Sterling Baptist. There is even a county run program at the Claude Moore center that is supposed to be pretty good.

Good luck!

I've lived in the Sterling area for many, many years and the preschools that get continued great reviews are Kids Under Construction and the one that is held in the Galilee Methodist Church in Broad Run Farms (Rt 7 at Rt 28 next to the pond). Sorry I don't know the name. The Montesorri school on Church Road is FANTASTIC and successful, but may be more than you are looking for right now. Good luck.

The one at Galilee is called "A Childs place preschool".

Yes, also heard great things about that Montesorri school as well.

THANK YOU!!! This information is wonderful and very useful! Unfortunately, I think all the schools are on spring break, so I think I picked the wrong week to come here, but will call when I get home.
Thanks again!!!

Default Kids Under Construction!

Hi: My youngest son went to KUC when we moved into the Sterling Area, many years ago. After he went to Kindergarten, I started working there and worked there for 6 years, until we moved out of the area. I can't say enough about KUC. Everything from the Director, teachers, and program are the best you will find. It was hands down the most rewarding job I have ever had! You will not be sorry if you choose KUC.

Creme de la Creme is just a really expensive commercial preschool. Don't believe the hype! My son goes to KUC and we absolutely love it! The teachers are caring they teach but they also let the children be just that children! A child's place is also really good my oldest one went there before we knew of KUC! Good luck i know its a scary decision!
