Central Valley (New York, Woodbury, York: safe, vehicle, area)

I will be driving into the Central Valley area from Montreal in mid-August. I would like to leave my vehicle in the area for 4-5 days (preferably near the Woodbury Common Outlets) to visit New York City by bus. I'd prefer not driving into the big city. Looking for a safe and secure area in Central Valley to leave my car.

Any suggestions?
