West End Avenue only runs until around W 107th St or so. I spend some time around the area and it is charming. I would say that it is affluent enough. If someone is looking to buy, there are some deals, but you still need to make a pretty penny, as some properties do go into the millions, but you will get a better deal there than say West End Av in the W 80s. It's not prime Upper West Side, but it's still the Upper West Side. There's a truffle shop that I've been meaning to go to on West End Av, I believe in the 60s or 70s. I've always viewed West End Av as being more exclusive in general, as most of it feels more tucked away, with nice pre-war buildings.

It's a mix, tending towards the affluent with a lot of prewar co-ops, but with the projects and a couple of family/senior shelters only a few minutes' walk away. The side streets are brownstones, some of which have been restored at great expense, some of which have been chopped up into less expensive rental housing. Personally, I like it, as it's just a bit quieter, but with Broadway right there.

It's more or less like the rest of the UWS, but a bit cheaper compared to prime UWS. You find the same things in the 80s though. There are shelters scattered throughout the UWS. Housing projects as well.
