Hackensack isn’t as bad as Camden, and is certainly better than others in the state.

I literally said I have no comment when it comes to religion. My list fits all other criteria. No one would accuse the people of Garfield being anything other than modest.

Camden isn’t in Bergen county so it’s not relevant. Camden would not be an option for this poster. Camden isn’t as bad as Atlantic City but that didn’t mean it fits the criteria. How about asbury park- its better than Camden and it’s near the beach which is totally irrelevant.
Your list is not good for this poster imo. We are comparing Bergen county towns only. You picked some of the least desirable.
And access to highway is certainly not a criteria so not sure why you highlight it.

Ya’ll aren’t reading the OP and judging me.
No one suggested USR.
No one is judging you, just your list.

It was always the least expensive going way back. More multifamily type homes on top of one another, small yards.

Even by that criteria, the list is not good. Ramsey and Midland park have median family incomes above $120,000 while Lodi and Garfield are about half of that. Ramsey and Midland Park schools (among others on that list) would be categorized as better than just “okay”. This list just doesn’t make sense, it almost feels entirely random. No need to get defensive about it.

Correct, Midland Park and Ramsey, or even Waldwick, are not at all the same look or vibe as Garfield or Lodi.

Does it have to be in Bergen County? Cedar Grove and Verona, in nearby Essex County, hit the nail on the head and are exactly what you’re looking for!

I've known people via work who live in both those towns, and by coincidence, all were Irish Catholics!

But yes, they were family-oriented people (and all of them engineers) who raised their children in those towns.

1. Waldwick

3. Oakland
4. Ramsey
5. Wash Township
6. Rochelle Park
7. Maywood
8. Garfield
9. Lodi
10. Fair Lawn

etc

I would be wary of the pascack valley region as those towns have very poor connectivity with limited fast access to a highway.

Northeastern region isn't modest, and is never worth it. Period. Property taxes, isolation, etc
The Pascack Valley area has "connectivity" (unsure exactly what this means, however) to the Garden State Parkway, and for some, the Palisades Parkway.
