The Merlion market is in a small strip mall just West of being across Amherst St. from Building 19. We stop in occasionally. It is a small shop but it does have a reasonably good selection of Asian foods.
The Saigon Market on Pine St. also in Nashua is only about half Asian foods. Both have exotic stuff and should be checked out.
For some reason Asian markets don't advertise in the local papers. There is a Korean market that looks small on the outside but is much bigger inside. There is an Indian Market in Nashua too. they just don't advertise.
I don't recall the name of the Korean market (they have Korean lettering on the sign) but it is on Fletcher Street. That street is off Main street across from the Hunt Memorial building at Railroad Square. The store front is misleading as it really is bigger than it looks. Friendly people and a lot of stuff.
The Indian market is on D.W. Highway in the corner of an "L" shaped strip mall just North of the Armory and the Elks Hall and on the same side.Because it is in the corner, the entrance is small but the store is big. I think there is an Indian shop on Amherst street in close to the Merlion market too.
Oops! Sorry! I drove by there today. The Korean Market is on the next street over. Thayer Ct., a dead end street.
yinduffy I still don't know the area well. Can you tell me the nearest intersection? What two streets cross closest to this market? Thanks!
