The speed limit is 35mph on Pembroke Road. Don't tailgate me while I am going 40 cause you think you should be going 55.

The speed limit is 35 on Academy Road. Don't tailgate me while I am going 40 cause you think you should be going 55. Also, don't honk at me because didn't pull into my driveway at 25 mph.

I'm no fan of the cops, but it sure would be nice if they would at least crack down on the people going 50 in a 35, especially on roads like Academy with lots of houses and a few spots with limited sight distance.

Trouble is if they cracked down on the folks going 50, they would also crack down on the ones going 40

Not sure that would be the case, but I'd be willing to take that chance.

Then by all means I hope it works out for ya..there is common sense ( ie 5 mph over ) then there is stupidity, sadly stupidity ( 15 mph over ) often is the rule of the day

From my experience, most cops don't care if you're less than 10 over, barring extenuating circumstances. Doing 15 over when the speed limit is less than 50 is pretty dumb, IMHO.

This is pretty much everywhere. As a rule I do 5-8 over. All single lane roads on my commute, anywhere from 20 MPH to 50 MPH, and the tailgaters still tailgate, although they do end up going much slower than if they kept a safe distance to begin with.

I call in aggressive drivers, the last one passed me on a double yellow in a 35 MPH zone when I was doing 40, cops had her pulled over 2 miles down the road.

A side road that I use close to home is a residential 20 MPH zone and I know where the cops sit. When my detector starts chirping I slow down to about 23, which I did one day. The clown behind me whips around me over the double yellow going at least 30, cop was there as the radar detector predicted, clown had a bad day.

I was going north on I-93 at about 70+ just before the 45 mph zone through Franconia Notch and some clown blows by at about 90+. I slow to about 50 and there is a State Policeman standing in the first exit off the parkway. The SUV is hard on the brakes and pulling over. I just drive on by.
