My family and I are headed to Hendersonville next week to make sure it's where we want to move this summer. With that said, I want to have great Bar-b-que. Is there a bar-b-que in Hendersonville that good or will we have towards Nashville? I've looked at Yelp and other web based sites, but I would rather ask the people who know best!

Thanks for the help!

A friend just told me that Top Hog in Gallatin is awesome. It's only a few minutes up the road from H'ville

Top Hog is good. I still prefer Center Point BBQ (Home of the Three Little Pigs) at the southwest end of town (at the border with Davidson County) at the corner of W. Main and Center Point Road which has an exit off the Vietnam Vets pkwy (bypass). , which has been around for 50 years and has been featured several times on Food Network. It's a eat-in or take-out sort of place owned by only 2 families over that time. Try them both while you're visiting.

I personally prefer Center Point, but Top Hog is good as well. The negatives for Top Hog is that they have odd hours sometimes and they only accept cash or check (no cards). In my opinion, the burgers at Top Hog are better than their BBQ.

Center Point BBQ sounds like the place to go... We're going into Gallatin around lunch on Wednesday so I'll see what the hours are for Top Hog to get a burger.

Thanks for the response everyone.

If you can manage take out you can try Whit's. Mostly Nashville style BBQ not Texas or Memphis. If you head toward Rrivergate there are other options Bar B Cutie.

If you're going to venture out of Hendersonville, try Peg Leg Porker downtown.

I agree about both Swaney Swift's and Peg Leg Porker. According to my kids, Peg Leg Porker has the best mac and cheese on the planet. I have to get dry rub ribs and smoked wings when I go there. If pulled pork is your thing I am also a fan of Martin's.

I'm gonna gain 20 lbs by the time I leave Tennessee!!!! I probably won't be able to hit all the places, but I will definitely post my opinions about the places we go. Thanks again for all the recommendations.
