I was wondering if anyone knows of any lyme literate doctor(s) in and around Nashville? The doctor MUST know how to treat lyme disease(most claim to know but really don't). Any help would be really appreciated it. I'll be dead in the water without a doctor who can continue treating me!

Not sure about anyone specific, but Vanderbilt kind of specializes in unusual type ailments. Had a friend who was bit by a brown recluse and it was misdiagnosed until she went to Vanderbilt. So this should be a good start. Good luck.

Have you asked the doctor you're going to now for a reference. I would think doctors specializing in lyme disease would have a network.

I thought about calling Vanderbilt when the times comes for us to move to see if they have a doctor who treats lyme. Just talking to them I should get an idea if they know what they're doing.

No, I haven't asked him. I doubt he'll know anyone in TN. It's hard to find doctors who really know how to treat lyme. There is a lyme disease association, but they don't list any doctors in TN. That doesn't mean there isn't any doctors that treat lyme though.

Thank you. I'll call them sometime next year, when we'll probably be moving.

Thank you. It doesn't mention that he treats lyme disease on his website though...
