Since Rush is the current theme, 35 years ago last week (January 1st, 1980) Permanent Waves was released. Had it on cassette and vinyl. My favorite track of that album, "Natural Science", it kept Mr. Peart busy; I used it (along with Steely Dan's "Aja" and "Children of the Sun") on my test music tape when I was doing car stereo installations in 1981. Live version from Snakes and Arrows.
Eye to Eye's "Nice Girls", 1982. American/British duo, produced by Gary Katz, who also produced Steely Dan. The Steely Dan influence is readily apparent. Great bass lines, too.
