Don't know what happened to a lot of the crooners from the 80's. There were some really distinctive voices out there. Now? You can't tell Chris Brom from Omarion! LOL! They keep using that robot voice....
You knew it was Michael, Prince,Frankie, Billy, Luther, Freddie, Teddy, J.O. , Jarreau, Barry, or whoever just as soon as they started singing.

Back in the day the Industry had ton's of great artist.
Now today most of them are using that Audio Tune crap.
