I know some people who don't like Freddie Mercury voice's timbre so they don't listen to Queen because they dislike Freddie's voice. Well, I'd like to say Queen is the band where three of the four members sang the lead vocals (as opposed to Led Zeppelin where only Robert Plant sang the lead vocals).
Most songs were sang by Freddie Mercury of course, most great hits were sang by Freddie Mercury too but there are some other great songs sang by Brian May (guitarist) or by Roger Taylor (drummer).
This post is dedicated to some songs by Brian May. His way of singing has nothing to do with Freddie's way to sing so if you don't like a Freddie's
voice you might like a Brian's voice. The Brian May's way of singing reminds me a bit of how the Beatles sang (especially Paul McCartney).
These nice songs never were super big hits like Bohemian Rhapsody or We Are The Champions though. The most famous of these ones is "'39".
"She Makes Me (Stormtrooper In Stilettos)" off the 'Sheer Heart Attack' album (1974).
The song includes the original ending with the sounds of (Brian May called it 'New York nightmare sounds') police car sirens and deep-breathing.
"Sleeping On The Side Walk" off the 'News Of The World' album (1977).
They say Brian May sings this song with an American accent. I wonder does anybody here the American accent?
