Why does Terminator need to be rebooted when they haven't even finished the original story yet?

The "original story" finished in T2 as far as I'm concerned. T3 was a travesty, and I never saw the other one with Batman.

I kinda liked the TV show though.

That said, the new Terminator should only be played by Chris Hemsworth or Dwayne Johnson.

I was always under the impression that they were going to take us all the way through to the defeat of the machines. I was underwhelmed by the last film. They had been talking about how evil and tough this machine empire was for 25 years. It honestly seemed kind of tame when we finally got to the future.

This goes to show they have run out of ideas and are just cash cows at this point.

Just like the new Spider Man movies, I'll refuse to watch them.

That's what I think as well.

I was pretty excited when they announced T3, went to see it at the theater and was incredibly disappointed.

That is what I thought as well! And what is worse, I really couldn't wait for them to tell the story! I just assumed they had a whole bag of tricks that was going to make the storytelling so awesome! LOL

Tried watching the one with Batman -- after 30 minutes of boredom I could no longer watch it.
