The toys and cartoons in the 80s were so much fun. Transformers, He-Man, GI Joe, and Thundercats were just a few. One difference between children of the 80s and children of today is that in the 80s we watched TV at night or when it was cold. Otherwise we played OUTSIDE unlike the porkers we say today who do nothing.

I'm on the fence with the 80s. I think every decade has good and bad, but I tend to view the 80s with some disdain, probably due to my home life as a middle and high school-aged kid during that decade. I think the 80s gave us many memorable movies but also some very forgettable music. Some of the fashion may seem goofy in retrospect, but at least we wore our pants up and made an attempt to look presentable. I remember once getting into a debate with someone who came of age in the 90s. She ridiculed our 80s hairstyles, to which I replied, "at least we washed our hair." Still, the 80s was a completely over-sexed decade, and I think some of the ills present in our current political discourse can be traced to the 80s. It's not a decade I care to re-live.

I miss 80s movies and 80s tv shows...I don't know...the cartoons today are definitely crappy (with the exception of P&F). The movies were so timeless. Kind of like the movies of the 40s (different than the 50s, 60s, etc).

Some eras just resonate more.
