I wonder how much after-the-sale support they will offer for them. It's too bad that Buell is no more, especially after recently developing the 1125 bike.
Problem is, the recession is affecting motorcycle sales across the board. Not many people have "discretionary income".

The same as they had before - none. Buell was always the red-headed stepchild in the HD family. Even moreso than the V-Rod. The fact that the 1125 used an Austrian motor instead of a modified sportster lump pushed them even further out on the edge.
That "modified sportster lump" simply wasn't sufficient to build a modern sportbike around. You're certainly right concerning the "red-headed stepchild" (good expression!). The H-D faithful regard anything other than the beloved air-cooled 45-degree V-twin as sacrilege.
