Why is this important to us in Mon County? Because it points to the importance of two things. First, that growth increases wealth in areas where it is taking place. Gas and Oil growth is having a dramatic effect in Wheeling. We need to insure that we have access to those raw materials here in Mon County to help diversity our local economy with plastics manufacturing opportunities. Completing I-68 from Morgantown to Moundsville would insure that access, and benefit every community along the road. So gas and oil, and better infrastructure are very important going forward for us here in the Morgantown area.
