My dad called and said that he heard that EJIW closed its doors. I was walking around in Kansas City and noticed the new sub division had old man hole covers that said EJIW and the new phases all had the same logos on them but said made in India. Global marketing has taken its toll on companys here.

I see you are still spreading rumors as fact. EJIW is still alive. If in doubt you can just pick up the phone and give them a call. Took all of 30 seconds to verify your claims as false, maybe you should just stop spreading lies about an area you obviously hate.

Default Still running as far as can see

I just drove by the EJ foundry which is running and as far as I know so is their Ardmore Foundry and all of their European operations. EJIW.com would dispel this rumor.

I have been told they are a little slow, but aren't we all around here. If EJIW closed down it would be front page news here.

EJIW is going strong. They did not close and are not going to.
EJIW is the largest employer in Charlevoix County, Michigan. Along with employment all over the US.
EJIW is owned by the Malpass family in East Jordan, MI They are Wonderful people who have donated millions to the community (Schools- Medical- ETC.)
Yes they have expanded all over the world, but have not terminated any U.S. jobs in doing so.
I am proud to say that I personally know most of the Malpass family, they are great folks just the same as you and me. Tim M. EJ MI.

You probably know Nick Moes. He and his family are dear friends of mine.

...and toward the thread topic: just a chunk of troll bait.

True story:

As a southern Michigander, I always thought the Sunfield branch of EJIW was the only location. I thought "East Jordan" was just a random name. Never made the connection to East Jordan, MI and the parent company! Not sure when I learned the truth, but I did eventually.

It's a landmark and major contributor in the little town. You can find manhole covers and storm drain covers all over the world.
