What does everyone think? I think it looks pretty nice and sharp. I've owned a Mazda 6 before and was real happy and am seriously considering getting the new one..Any thoughts??

It is nice looking but I haven't read any reviews on it yet. Well, credible reviews that is. I would really avoid getting the first model year of anything new; foreign or domestic. If you are going to get one, at least wait a year for them to work any bugs out.

Car mags are calling it a Lexus ES, but sporty. I'd say Mazda has another hit on its hands.

we have an 05 that we bought new that came lowered with racing wheels and tires and completely loaded. I do not like the new body style. It definatly looks more like a grandma car. It has less curves and looks less sexy

First Drive: First Drive: 2009 Mazda6 - Autoblog

I've driven the last generation V6 and the Mazdaspeed versions at the Mazda Drive event (autocross). Either one would be at the top of my list if I were in the market for a front drive four-door car. The new one has grown in every dimension and I don't like large vehicles, but all the competition has grown as well. 3600 pounds seems excessive to me but that's where the others are too. Read over the first drive from above. The price for a loaded V6 pushes it into base BMW 328i sedan territory, against which it probably doesn't hold up too well.

Every review/road test I've read has been very positive, definitely a contender in its class.

We bought a 6i in December 03. To date (51K miles so far) the only problem we have had was replacing the drivers visor under warranty at about 1500 miles. Maintenance and tires is all I've done to it.

But the new car... too big. It's crossed off the list for eventual replacement. My last remaining hope in this class is the Legacy.
