Something was definitely wrong financially, but their resumes are about as good as it gets. It seems like it wouldn't be very difficult to fix the financial problems.

That said, their LinkedIn profiles were disabled...which seems very odd.

And why kill the daughter?

The daughter just happened to be there because it was winter break from school. I don't think it would have been planned to kill her or anything like that.

If you buy a $3M mansion (price at the time they bought) and then you have to dissolve your company only about a year later.....seems like it could have be easy for them to have been in over their heads living the MA McMansion lifestyle (or in this case a real mansion lifestyle). I'm sure for some folks, when they experience a bit of financial success their spending and lifestyle creep can go bonkers and quickly spiral out of control and then once the gravy train stops for whatever reason (like having to shutdown a company or whatever) things go south really quick. Who knows if that's what happened here but just a thought.

I get all of this. But at the same time...I don't get it. I just can't even imagine doing what this guy did.

The disabled LinkedIn profiles seem to be a clue. Were these people about to get exposed for some big scam? What other reason could there be to hide your LinkedIn profile?

Maybe a family member contacted LinkedIn and tried to get them taken down before the media blitz started?

Filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy in September 2022 – listing between $1 million and $10 million in liabilities, filings show. While LinkedIn bios paint them as smart, that isn't someone who is too smart, at least w/money.

Oh interesting, I didn't see that. That is odd then that just the parents would be down but hers is still up.

Of course it's going to be unimaginable to sane people.

The LinkedIn profiles might have been removed with the intention of rewriting them at some point. I know businesses fail all the time but the guy could have felt a great deal of shame and embarrassment.

wow crazy...I mean they were attractive, educated, business saavy/successful. I'm guessing someone was killed then someone else decided to just take everyone down.
