Shepard's pie is very popular in my family. I make it at least once every two weeks by demand!! Unfortunately I'm the only one that will eat lamb in my family. Sometimes I'll make a lamb stew and just have my brother over for it . He likes it just as much as I do. My kids and wife refuse to eat it. Their loss! They do like the deer meat though!

I have to remember to see if the Octoberfest beer is out yet, one of my favorites along with Pumkin Ale.
My favorite fall food is chicken stew with dumplings.

Oh Yes!! Love Oktoberfest food and the beers. When I brewed beer for Sea Dog Brewing in Camden we made a very special Oktoberfest beer and had a two day celebration in October. It was by far the most popular thing we did there. Great food ,great beer, great weather and a genuine, German oompah band to boot! ....it sure was fun! I may have to do a family Octoberfest for everyone. I'm sure it would be a hit.

My whole family likes venison as well. We are out for now, but season starts soon. First thing we always make is homemade venison stuffed ravioli. We bought some 4H chickens last week from our fair so I am going to whip up some chicken n dumplings this Sunday....ssshh don't tell the birds!!
