I didn't want to congratulate you until you were officially moved(I didn't want to jinx anything-ridiculous, I know), so I've been reading your updates religiously for that past week!! I had tears in my eyes as I read this post-how wonderful for you! I'm sure I speak for the others on the Maine forum as well as myself that I feel a bit as though I've traveled with you and shared in a very special part of your journey through life. Well, enough rambling. One word of winter attire advice-I wear cuddleduds(it's like silk long underwear)under my jeans and sweaters almost every day during the winter. Non-bulky and super comfy! Now go play in the snow with your kids, breathe that clean Maine air, and let those wonderful Maine folks take good care of you during these first couple weeks! May God bless you and your family-

I was going to write a similar post, but Kenowheregirl said it so perfectly! I too have been following your story forever, and got all teary-eyed as I just read your post. Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you and your family.

Default Welcome home!

Dear El,
Congratulations! So happy that you and your family are finally here safe and sound.
Kenowheregirl has eloquently written my sentiments as well. I don't post often, but have followed your planning, journey, etc for many months now.
You can now experience the beauty of the state and it's lovely people first hand!

Ditto from me as far as a site lurker. I remember some of your very first posts so congrat's on completing your journey. I hope to join you someday soon. We did sell our house here in rust belt Ohio, but I have decided to get my BSN in nursing before we pack up ( I only have assoc now) The extra time and research you put into your move has without doubt helped hundreds myself included. We will make our 8th trip this May actually venturing up further your way. Good luck to you and your family in all you do. For all of you who wonder if patience is a virtue research some of EL's posts truly an asset to this board.

Welcome home! I am so glad you all had a safe trip and a warm welcome. You can't ask for more than that. There's no place like home.
