Sidney Maine (Farmington: real estate, sex offenders, home)

Ithe new england music camp is there..is it like a chatauqua now there ? ( center for the arts) or is there a place like that in this area..what the weather like in the four seasons? what's the real estate doing these days? how high are taxes in Maine..I went once here as a child and trying to remember it --I liked it a lot as I recall....we are shopping for a retirement home not on a golf course but in a historic or older country quaint area..no subdivisions...any thoughts?
