Today it was sunny and I convinced DW to take some photos.

So here are her first attempts to do landscape photos of around our house.

That's some serious winter white stuff! Goats don't look cold. I don't know why but I (who know nothing about goats) wouldn't think they'd like to be out in the white stuff. Nice pics!

Forest,
I love the goats...my dad had Nubian's for awhile several years ago on his mini farm in Tennessee.

Treeluvr- Our goats don't seem to mind it terribly. They just want to be fed each day.

Mollysmiles- Yes, Bonnie did very well. She is posting them on one of her forums.

MEnME- We like goats too.

Took this one yesterday morning on the way to work. The sun is coming up and shining through the frost on the trees. Afraid the photos isn't very good, so you'll have to take my word that it looked great! The whole tree line looked as though their tops were on fire, with the red sunrise bursting through the dark limbs and branches, then catching in the frost and ice and exploding back out in a stunning display. Wish I could have captured the whole thing, but all I had with me was a little point-and-shoot digital camera. One of those times I wish my nice 35MM with me.

Forest, I love your wife's shots! The goats get a winter coat... so they are not cold, at least that's how ours in CO did. and like yours, all they wanted was their grain and hay and the ice broken or melted in the water bucket!

Default a little bit of ME in NC

today I hung this "Maine Made" Guardian Lighthouse Bell that I got as part of my payment for the work I did on the local museum's yearbook. Each year that I do this, my compensation includes a "shopping spree" in the museum store, and I often get holiday gifts for the grandkids, etc. This year I had already bought and sent their packages, so I got something for me... I had seen and loved these windchimes all season down at the museum and when I learned they were from ME I know I had to have one! They are made by North Country Wind Bells, and it now hangs on my north porch, just beyond the window where I am typing.
