Help me, someone!!! Moving to the area with a high school Jr. In FL. he does dual enrollment-meaning he is getting college done at the same time as high school. He was (is) hoping to get his AA degree at the same time as his HS diploma. What high schools in LA. (Vernon and Beauregard and Rapides Parishes) offer this program? Is it open to Jr's or just Sr's? Is it paid by the state? I can not even begin to narrow down where to live-husband is going to be at Ft. Polk but all the towns look sooooo small, and I think I will end up going to Alexandria way too much to do shopping. The only way I can think to narrow this down is to find out about the best schools for my son first and then go from there. Anyone who knows anything about the schools in this area, or has a high schooler, please let me know... thank you so much!!!! By the way, Sloan is very big on hunting, fishing, country music, jeans, boots, etc.. so that's another question-where do the majority of those kinds of kids live??? We will need a good church and youth group too, and I homeschool my thirteen yr. old daughter. ANY INFO APPRECIATED-I am sooo confused.

Bolton High School in Alexandria allows students to earn college credits through AP courses. You should probably contact the school board directly about dual enrollment. Your only option may be online college courses. Also, check with LSUA to find out if they allow it. If not, online is the way to go.
