white, rich, conservative feel, very few poor areas, and little diversity.. definitly no comparison to culver city.. more comparative to a "dense orange county"... manhattan is the oldest. hermosa is the youngest. 33 is not old, it's rather average.

They are all great communities. Hermosa's the youngest and most singles, the most bars and restaurants. Manhattan is the most expensive. There's north Redondo and south Redondo. South is nicer.

Hermosa and Manhattan are totally walkable towns - small and dense. You can walk to shop for groceries, go to a coffee shop, have sushi, go to the beach of course, etc., etc.

The lifestyle is very active, outdoorsy. People walk, jog, bike, skate, swim, surf, go to the gym, etc.

The negative? Parking is a bear. Every inch of Hermosa and Manhattan is metered and the "meter maids" are merciless.
