Why is it a person can work and live in L.A. County but the second they move to Santa Clarita or Rancho Cucamonga, all of a sudden they are so uncool just because they want a bigger yard and house?

Just curious. I work for a large corp in the Southbay, and some coworkers that reside close to the water like to rag on commuters. I didn't know if there were real area code wars, or just banter.

I don't think anyone cares.

I personally would hate living there. I don't hate people that love living there. Some people value a house and a yard, and just cannot afford anything in or around the city.

Seems kind of classist actually, sort of like people in San Francisco that bag on people that live in the East Bay or South Bay, forgetting that you essentially have to be making six figures just to rent an apartment in SF.
