Would anybody know a store in Suffolk that sells a variety of teas, beyond what you typically find the supermarkets? Specifically, I am looking for tea bags containing Japanese Green Teas.

You could try either You, Me & Tea in Port Jeff Village or Robinson's Tea Room in Stony Brook.

Another possibility would be Oriental Groceries on Rte 347 in Stony Brook (behind Burger King.)

Fairway in Plainview has a crazy amount of different brands of tea. It is worth the trip.

While they have a fairly decent variety, as a tea drinker, I wouldn't call it "a crazy amount of different brands of tea". Better than most supermarkets, but not a tea drinker's paradise

Long Island still doesn't quite get us - but it's gotten better. You'd have better luck in NYC.

Their is a chain called Teavana that is like a gourmet shop for tea drinkers. Their nearest store on the island is at Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington Station. You can see what they carry and order online at teavana.com .

Hope this helps.
