Let me save you the trouble of posting this question for every job in Vegas. You must know somebody. And you must know somebody BIG to become a doorman. It will not happen without juice. All jobs in clubs are the same, even the dishwashers knew someone to get in the door.

Pretty much most desired jobs in Vegas.. you have to know someone. I guess you can say it is also that way with most big corporations. When I was living in Silicon Valley and I wanted to take some free Cisco CCNA classes, the only reason I got into the sponsored classes is because I knew someone that worked there. I would have never got in if they I didn't get the recommendation. People who graduated were placed up top for any opening jobs at the local Cisco buildings.
