Today we reached 111. I wish the monsoon would get here. I know we had some brief storms yesterday but it’s going to be hot and dry for the next week.

I cannot find 111. Locally and LAS hit 109. That is hot but actually pretty normal for the first half of July.

And with 10% RH the heat inces is around 103.

Where did you get the fastest warming statistic? i have not noticed though it could be true.

I listen to NPR State of Nevada every day and the host did an episode of how LV is the fastest warming city nationally. I found that to be intriguing. Along with Phoenix, Tucson, and El Paso behind LV.

what they don't say is it's no where near the record for July - 117F / 47.2C in 2005. not so extreme when you cherry pick data...

Today will be the hottest day of the year for Las Vegas. Our summer this year will be 1 week shorter than it usually is.
