And global warming isn't real. This is the first time I had to turn on the A/C in May. I usually tolerate the heat till June.

We're east of the Henderson Airport near Horizon Ridge Pkwy & Horizon and got up to 104*, but at that point it doesn't make much of a difference.

There is a difference between climate and weather.

I would say this to either end of the spectrum.

Wow you must have an EXTREME tolerance for heat. My AC goes on in April and I live in Portland! As soon as it’s consistently 65-70 outside with some sun the indoor temperature goes to 76-80. New homes are usually insulated so well that it’s hotter inside than outside once the sun beats down on it. If it was 90 outside I have no clue how you would survive without AC or even attempt to sleep. Not to mention just not worth it. My system runs all of the time and it’s like $200/month absolute max for 3 stories all in electric but since I have solar summer is about $90-100. Saving two bucks a day isn’t worth suffering lol.

Well, just remember "it's a dry heat", and it'll all make sense... My house is newer, and well insulated. Until it regularly gets to 100, it stays between 77 and 79 inside. With that, just the ceiling fan moving air at low speed makes it feel very comfortable. 90 degrees and 10% humidity is a lot more comfortable than 90 degrees and 60%. If you go to the heat index calculator at calculators.net, and plug in the difference in humidity, you end up with 90/10=feels like 85F, and 90/60=feels like 100F. Quite a difference!


But to be honest, once it gets over 100, it's just hot, it doesn't matter what the humidity is..

Haha see I can’t even focus on work or do anything if it’s over maybe 73-74 inside and that’s not comfortable but meh... my house has temperature differences so when I tell it 70 it’s 70 in the hallway but all of my electronics may push my office to 73-74. Annoying but it’s ok enough or I can set it down to 66 and force my office down ha ha.

I love the heat outside though! Nothing bothers me that much. I mean 116 yeah that’s not fun. But 100 outside for me is fine in the shade or the pool just prefer not to walk long distances in it. I think for me summer in Vegas is either stay inside, swim often, or vacation elsewhere time but hey most places suck for 9 months besides summer so it’s not hard to deal with one minor thing
