Here's a question a friend asked, and I didn't know the answer. Is there anyplace on the Strip that has short term baggage storage? Like lockers?

My friend is arriving on Friday about 7 hours ahead of a friend who has a part-time house in LV and thought they would like to kill some time on the strip while they wait, but they don't want to tote around their small bags. They plan to Uber to someplace on the strip, then the friend will pick them up once they get to town, so leaving the bags at the airport in a locker (I read that they have them there maybe?) isn't really an option as it would require them to go back to the airport, then on to the friend's condo.

I am reading lots of places that say any strip property will hold bags for a tip whether you are staying or not. Anyone know if this is true?

We've had several hotel concierge services here hold our bags until we could check in. I don't know about if you're not checking in but I'd call them and see. Places we've done it have been Luxor, Caesars, Bellagio, Treasure Island, Rio...I'm sure a couple more that I can't think of right now.

Yes, if you are staying there, I know all hotels will do that, I've done it myself. I am wondering if they will do it if you are not staying there?

McCarran once had lockers inside the security area. I don't know if they still do.

pretty sure most properties will let you do this, just say you're there to gamble (like they care) and tip $2 in $2 out

I've worked at a few hotels in my life and I can pretty much guarantee if you bring your luggage to a bellman along with a decent tip, they won't ask any questions.

I've used the bell desk many times with no questions asked at multiple properties.

Thanks for the replies! I guess the answer is to try to leave your bags at a bell desk. If they say no, move along to the next one.

I suggested she say something like "My flight doesn't leave till late, can I check my bags here so I can go gamble till then?" I would hope they wouldn't turn down the opportunity to take her money on the slots.

They are not going to turn down your tip

Just be honest and ask nicely at the bell desk.

"Meeting friends later want to check out your property can you store these for us till around X."

It's pretty much what they are there for, to handle and store luggage for those who can check in yet or have checked out. Telling them up front lets them put it somewhere close and makes their life easier
