Any suggestions on how to get someone to help drive a 26 foot U-Haul towing a car? I'm 69 years old and to do it myself is more than I can handle. I have to drive a thousand miles but if anything happens I would be in trouble but if I had someone to help me drive it would keep me from having a panic attack and dropping over dead. I would save about two grand also. Any suggestions?

Are you offering any compensation?
I can drive you there, but need to make it worth my time.

One taco meal per day and two high fives, final offer.

Unless you have relatives to help it sounds like you'd be better off hiring a moving company and driving your car.

Or selling all your furnishings and drive your car. You can pace yourself by stopping at hotels and resting. You can pack memorabilia in your car, or a small rental trailer.

Or may I suggest you look into PODS or another such service.
Driving a setup like you have planned with no exp is no piece of cake.

We priced rental truck VS pod and it was about 500 difference at most and then we just drove the car out.

Also those trucks DRINK gas so don't forget to figure that in.

I moved from Kansas to Las Vegas on an 28 ft Uhaul, towing my wife's Honda Accord, 960 miles in 3 days by myself. Just take your time and do not forget to get insurance from Uhaul.

Either get the PODS or get a relative or very good friend to help you. Compensate them well. Do not hire a complete stranger to go with you, your body may be found later or they will leave you alive on a desolate road somewhere in the middle of nowhere as they take off with all of your things.
